"CHANTERELLE"
Sancerre
Cruise in the Upper Loire Valley
Seven
days/six nights
 |
The Chantrelle is
a very comfortable and attractive boat with a
beautiful wood trim finish and 14 well appointed cabins
including 4 single cabins.
She travels in
France's Upper Loire Valley, through a
landscape straight out of a picture book. This is a cruise of
castles, with sightseeing in riverside villages and stately
manor houses. The navigation on the Loire Lateral
Canal follows the Loire river with its tradition of
hunting, fishing and gracious living.
A highlight is the
662 meter canal aqueduct which takes the boat high over the
Loire River.
This region is
also well known for its Sancerre vineyards and the delicious
goat cheese called 'Crottin de Chavignol.'
