Marguerite - Champagne Cruise
Seven days/six nights
20 PASSENGER
 |
This
elegant Dutch vessel has a very special charm.
The main
deck has a lovely dining room, a spacious lounge with bar and a
sundeck rife with flowers.
All
windows are double-glazed. The lower deck offers 10 tastefully
decorated cabins with separate systems for air conditioning and
central heating.
For years
it operated as A&K's Rembrant. Continental Waterways aquired
it last year and refurbished it. It was renamed the Marguerite
and began cruising the French Comte. This year we decided to
change the itinerary because of the popularity of the Holland Spring
Tulip Cruises. So the Marguerite begins the year in Holland at
"Tulip Time" and then makes the short journey to Champagne
for a series of cruises between Champagne and Paris.
The
Marguerite will cruise from Paris - exploring the city from the
perspective of the romantic Canal Saint-Martin- before continuing to
the Champagne region. Here we visit some of the most prestigious
champagne houses for tasting sessions – as well as magnificent châteaux,
memorials to the fallen of World War I, and the world-famous Reims
Cathedral.
