We have experienced such a positive client response to our new deluxe 50
passenger barge,
the Chardonnay, that we decided to build a sister ship, the M.S. Provence.

For those of you who have cruised on the Chardonnay, you found the largest suites available on a river barge in Europe. On the M.S.Provence the suites are larger on the upper deck by 25 sq feet. The, MS Provence is a graceful, custom-built vessel which carries 50 passengers in the utmost comfort. There are 23 spacious suites and large, tastefully decorated public areas on the main deck. The panoramic forward bar and the7,500 sq. ft sun deck – complete with fitness and recreation area, plus 2 jacuzzis – afford superb vistas of the scenery and sites of this wonderful region. The MS Provence invites you on a voyage of discovery of the blissfully sunny Provence region and the enchanting Camargue. The itinerary takes you between Tournon on the misty river Rhône to the fabled medieval town of Aigues-Mortes, located on the Rhône-Sète canal on the edge of the wild and mysterious Camargue Regional Park. |
After a day of cruising and escorted tours, it is a pleasure to come back to the barge and relax in the hot tub, on the rooftop deck or in the beautiful forward lounge with a nice cool drink in hand.

Sunday ~ Guided walking tour of Lyon, the Old Town, the oldest Renaissance district in France. and free time to explore. Cruise on the Rhone, past Vienne with its antique theatre, through a most attractive winding stretch of the river, bordered by famous vineyards such as Condrieu and Cote Rotie, to the village of Andance. |

Monday ~Cruise to the graceful old town of Tournon, facing the vineyards of Tain-L'Hermitage. Visit of Tournon and its chateau followed by a private wine tasting in the famous Tain-L'Hermitage vineyards. Beautiful cruise alongside the vine-clad hills to Viviers. |

Tuesday ~ Excursion to Nyons, typical provencal Town to visit a traditional lavender distillery and olive oil press. Cruise along the canalized Rhone to the charming village of Roquemaure overlooked by the ruin of a medieval fortress. |

Wednesday ~Cruise past the famous vineyards of Châteauneuf-du-Pape to the legendary city of Avignon. Walking Tour of the magnificent city of Avignon with its massive stone ramparts, impressive Papal palace and its marvelous Old Town. Free time to explore and shop. |

Thursday ~ Excursion to St Remy-de-Provence, a charming town with its typical boulevards lined with plane trees where Van Gogh Painted.Cruise to the old town of Arles by way of Tarascon. Walking tour of Arles, one of the most enchanting of all Provencal towns: Roman theater, amphitheater, elegant 12C church of St Trophime with its famous cloisters. Farewell Gala dinner on board. |

Friday
~ Coach transfer to Nimes, Hôtel Concorde Imperator (or Lyon,
alternate weeks) arriving around 11am. Included are full meals, classic wines with lunch and dinner, all excursions. Bar drinks are offered at extremely reasonably prices. |
The route is run in reverse on alternate weeks. Excursions/mooring places and the route may be modified without prior notification due to unforeseen circumstances.
