Lafayette 2004

New Program

The "Grand Cru" Cruise in Southern Burgundy

The Lafayette is one of my favorite barges because it is the first barge I ever traveled on (Ed DeChant).  On this year's journey the Lafayette travels through an attractive area of Burgundy, cruising along the Burgundy Canal, the peaceful Soane River for a short while and then entering the Canal du Centre, passing along the vineyards of Santenay.

During the cruise passengers may explore colorful markets, vineyards and bustling little towns.  There are visits to Dijon, the capital of Burgundy, and to its cultural treasures.  You will also visit Beaune, the historic wine capital with its famous Hospice as well ass to some private Chateaux where wine tasting sessions are organized.

The Lafayette is a very comfortable and attractive boat with 12 welll appointed cabins including two single cabins, a lounge with a bar, and a pretty covered sundeck to let you be outside but dry in case of rain.
